Young Youtubers are wasting an entire generation with their meaningless content

My name is Paritosh Sharma. Current location: New Delhi, India. India is amongst the fastest growing economies in the world and the nation with the largest youth population.

I run a Youtube channel called Sava100Crore (English translation: 1.25 Billion).

I am a well meaning creator, just like every other creator. I strongly believe that if you have the power to influence, use it to create a meaningful society.

With the availability of cheaper mobile devices and good Internet across India, video content is gaining traction.

But what is India’s youth watching?

I am not shocked, but I am frustrated and appalled on how young Youtubers are creating absolutely meaningless content. I appreciate that probably that is their creative expression and my comments might not matter to them as they have way larger analytics to prove to brands that are sponsoring their content creation.

If this is the content that is going to shape the youth of India, we are headed for an incredibly shocking future.

In the name of ‘relatable’ content, Youtubers are sharing ‘borderline abuses that we use in local dialect’. To sound intellectual and the growing open minded Indian society, Youtubers are walking on streets to ask about people’s preferences while having sex and about losing virginity? How random and dumb could one be?

The only question that I would like every Indian family and the youth to ask for themselves is: will this random entertainment / fun build a better society OR are you also amongst the Indians that are looking to settle abroad for a better life?

Choose wisely. Because your choice will shape the #NewIndia

I wish positive energy and success to all.
